The Worldwide Anglican Episcopal Communion & Ecumenical Ministry (WAECEM) is truly an inspirational, unique, and dynamic international fellowship of churches and a close-knit Communion family who prays daily together. Our ongoing episcopal and leadership training prepares candidates and clergies to serve in their communities with grace, kindness, and confidence, with a mindset of healing and compassion. We place much emphasis on humble service, and we are very proud to help people in some of the most economically challenged communities in the world. Our Communion churches can be found across the Continent of Africa, Asia, India, South America, and in regions/ Counties/and states of Pakistan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the USA.

We officially launched on May 13th, 2021, and began receiving churches at the beginning of June when over 600 male and female clergies with their thousands of church congregations came to us from across the world and began to call us their church or partnership home.

Our clergies have come from many denominations including the Roman Catholic, Wesleyan, Lutheran, Anglican, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Greek & African Orthodox, and the Episcopalian church. We have joined together with mutual respect, love, and obedience to the Calling of the Great Commission, thus enabling us to constructively partner with other Christians around the world and to fulfill the mission that God has given to us.

Many of our clergies walk boldly in the Five-Fold Ministry as Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. With transparency comes greater responsibility, and with responsibility, higher accountability. God has set His leaders in place for His church to function, and those truly called into these places will have been tested and proven, having gone through the fire of preparation, displaying true humility and Christ-likeness, not desiring a position, but wanting to serve their King anyway He wants them to.

Some of our senior clergies, including our Presiding Archbishops, have verifiable episcopal Apostolic Succession and are part of either the Eastern and Western See and some of both. One bishop succeeding another in the same see means that there is continuity of teaching. While the Church as a whole is the vessel into which the truth is poured, the bishops are an important organ in carrying out this task. The bishops are also successors of the apostles in that the functions they perform of preaching, governing, and ordaining are the same as the Apostles had performed. It is also used to signify that grace is transmitted from the Apostles by each generation of bishops through the imposition of hands. Bishops have succeeded the apostles, not only because they come after them, but also because they have inherited apostolic power. To fulfill this apostolic mission, Christ promised the Holy Spirit to the apostles. These were enriched by Christ the Lord with a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This spiritual gift has been transmitted down to us by episcopal consecration.

We are all called to work together in unity, love, and peace, serving all people and especially the most vulnerable members of our communities. Rather than debating and arguing over denomination differences, we prefer to apply the principles of Truth taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ. We respect and fully embrace the gifts from the Holy Spirit, and we help one another to utilize these gifts for the good of the community, and most importantly, for the glory of God.

Some churches within of our Communion are autonomous, each governed by its own board and minister, and seeking affiliation according to guidelines. If you feel called to join our Communion as a church body or as an individual seeking ordination, you are warmly welcomed.

OUR HISTORY

As previously mentioned, WAECAEM officially launched on May 13th, 2021, and began receiving churches at the beginning of June. To date, we have welcomed over 600 male and female clergies and their thousands of church congregations from across the world.

As well-seasoned men and women of God, we were uncomfortable with the division so often seen in traditional Christian churches denominations, and organizations, as we witnessed firsthand the confusion caused to congregation members who were, and continue to be forced to choose one church over another. This conflict also continues to occur within families and neighborhoods, which are led to believe one church is more authentic than another. This causes unnecessary pain and suffering to those already divided and marginalized. We wanted to hold on to our faith in a way that unified other Christians, and the Worldwide Anglican Episcopal Communion & Ecumenical Ministry was a vision from God given to our Founder, The Most Rev. CH (CPT) Christine Mercy Johnson, Ph.D. and embraced by all clergies who elected her to be the Presiding Archbishop. Wishing to share the responsibilities and trusting his Calling, she chose The Most Rev. Luis G. Ramos Suarez-Bango from Ecuador, to serve alongside her as co-Presiding Archbishop. In October 2022, Archbishop Dr. Johnson made the decision to retire from fulltime ministry and handed the reins of the Communion to Archbishop Luis Ramos with her great love, and deep respect.

Paul says, “For we have many members in one body…” And his words ring true even more so today. In the body of Christ, we have Baptists, Methodists, Episcopalians, Reformed, Dutch Reformed, Church of God, Church of God in Christ, Catholics, Seventh Day Adventists, Lutherans…the list goes on and on. There are actually 200 denominations worldwide that trust Christ for their redemption. Together, we are one body in Christ. Christ Himself explained how we are connected. We are all a part of His vine; we are the branches. Each branch of the Vine draws its sustenance from the same place. We are as varied as the individual leaves on a tree, yet we are all part of the same Tree. Paul describes what unifies us as a marriage tie; the highest earthly example of union, founded on choice and affection. We are the bride of Christ, and we are bound together by our love of Christ. And as His bride, we…Radiate with the presence of God…Reveal the Word of God…And reflect the image of God. Since His Resurrection, Christ continues to add to His church daily (Acts 2:47)… He is Lord; not to those who profess it, but to those who possess Him! We are all His people; the sheep of His pasture. We, the MANY…Penetrate the world for God…Create a thirst for the things of God…Generate a desire to please God…Demonstrate the miraculous power of God…And motivate sinners to come to God! Christ said, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…” (Matthew 28:19) This is our common charge…our common duty…because we, the many, are all part of the same Vine. We are all one flock, clustered around One Shepherd.

During this covid-19 pandemic, we have learned one major lesson – the church is not only a building but the very presence of Almighty God residing within us. Thus, we have had to adapt, and as best we can leave the four walls of the building, and either go out to the people in their communities or reach them via social media. It has been challenging, but so worthwhile. Regardless of age, race, creed, culture, or sexual orientation, nobody has been immune to this deadly disease, which has left millions of people displaced, and hundreds of thousands of brothers and sisters dead.

We fully honor the ministerial background of our clergies and encourage them to continue serving according to their church traditions. This Communion is a safe place full of God’s mercy and grace, where we can come together with genuine respect and love, rather than condemnation, shame, gossip, vengeance, or division. We offer sound biblical Scripture. We share resources, and experiences with one another, and we enjoy networking with our clergies around the world.

All our Provinces are actively engaged in their dioceses. For example, In the Ecclesiastical Province of Mexico,  prayer are offered every day at 7:00 a.m. via Google Meet + Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Thursdays at 7:00 a.m. via Google Meet + Meeting of the clergy, bishops, and deacons, every fortnight. + Celebration of Masses in the places where they request us. + Visit sick people when requested. + Catechesis for children and preparation of adults for the sacraments, both on the ground and on the hill. Said Sacraments will be in June. + A catechism for First Communion is being prepared by Bishop Ponciano Corzo Mayo + We are paying for the land where their cathedral will be built. + Clergy retreat, Chrism Mass, and renewal of priestly vows on Holy Monday in the Parish of San Juan Bautista, Iztapalapa. + Conviviality of the Clergy with their families on Holy Tuesday + Talks and/or classes (Christology, Mariology, liturgy) among members of the clergy. + Help will be given during Holy Week in the Parish of San Juan Bautista, Iztapalapa + the deacons serve on Saturdays and Sundays in the Parish of San Juan Bautista and the Rectory of Santa Cecilia, in Mexico City. + Attention of candidates via WhatsApp, Facebook, and personally. + Upcoming priestly ordinations on Pentecost, June 5. + Mission in the state of Coahuila, Municipality of Zaragoza: Attention is given to migrants by giving food, the Eucharist is imparted, and adults, youth, and children are supported.

If we have learned nothing else in the Church over the last two years, please God may we have learned the need to cease this in-fighting, and join hands around the world as the face, hands, and very presence of Jesus who comforts the grieving, and heals the sick.
